Spinning, can also be described as aerobics on bikes, is lots of fun in a class situation.
The class is usually held in a gym or anywhere there is a classroom full of stationary bikes. Keeping up with the beat of the music, the 45 minute programme, usually comprises different songs, which take you from the warm up, through varying terrain (racing, hill climbing etc) to the cool down and stretching.
Classes are great for all levels from the beginner to the advanced rider as YOU are in control of the resistance – if you can’t keep up then just reduce the resistance and push as hard as you want to! Your instructor will take you through the set up of your bike, and all safety issues before the class and will be around at the end for any questions you may have.
