Massage is something we all do instinctively. Rubbing any area of the body that is causing us pain is a simple and often effective form of massage. It could be seen as one of the oldest forms of medical treatment and has been used throughout the years by all cultures. It can also be observed in nature with apes grooming each other or animals licking wounds.
