success stories

(Consultant/Runner)
After a severe groin tear in 2001, I went to see eg health|fitness de-motivated and fed-up with the lack of progress of my rehabilitation. After assessing my injury and an initial period of fitness and strength training with little success they suggested that I return to the specialist and two weeks later I underwent the surgeon’s knife. After another two weeks of rest and minor exercises I returned with a new set of goals: Lose weight, get fitter and faster so I could rejoin my old running group – in 6 weeks!
We worked very hard, and with every week came improvement and a sense of achievement. Nutrition also played an important part in my success. Eight weeks after my operation I was able to run 10km in 43.40, row 2000m in 7.11 and I had lost 8kg (7kg was fat). I truly believe that I could not have done it independently, and that I would not be this motivated to run my first marathon in April if it wasn't for their hard work.
The best thing
about Graeme and Elinor is that they appreciate how important it is to
be able to push yourself and they make a great team drawing on each others
strengths and experiences.
